Talk to Hedge Capital Ltd →The Index is open — anyone can reconstruct it. The question is who you trust to run it correctly with your money for a decade. We stake our own fund on it. A free reconstruction has the same formula and none of the accountability.
The subscription gets you the index status. Acting on it is your job. Know what that involves:
That gap between knowing and doing is most of what the fund charges for.
The recipe is genuinely free, and some of you should use it. Know what you're getting into:
A weekend to build. A decade to babysit.
FAQ
If the Index is open-source, why pay?
You can reconstruct it for free — we publish exactly how, and for small accounts it is the sensible route. The subscription is the maintained version: the index status computed, verified and published the day the month closes, with the dashboard, API and receipts — so you don't build and babysit the pipeline yourself. The fund is the next step: we run everything with your capital.
What's included at $99 a year?
Everything. The current index status on Nasdaq and Bitcoin, the dashboard, the full history, the REST API, hash-stamped receipts, and the monthly explainer. One tier, no add-ons. The founding rate is locked for life; the list price after launch is $199/yr.
Why annual?
The Index changes a few times a year. A subscription you cancel in a quiet stretch is itself a form of market timing — you are most likely to cancel right before the change the subscription exists to give you. Annual matches the cadence of the thing you're buying.
What stops someone republishing the Index?
Nothing, technically — the recipe is public and a tinkerer could mirror it. What they can't republish: the verification trail, the hash-stamped ledger, the accountability of a fund that stakes its own capital on the same index, and being maintained for a decade. A free mirror has the same formula and none of that.
What is Hedge Capital, and how is the fund different?
Hedge Capital Ltd (Gibraltar) runs the same open Index with investor capital across three subfunds (min. $130k, qualified investors). The fund's value isn't a secret index — the Index is free. It's the operation: execution, custody, the tax wrapper, and the discipline enforced for you, with a live hash-stamped track record.
